Hello! Welcome to my blog, Pages & Voyages! This is a site dedicated to book readers, as I will be posting topics around books.

What kind?

Well I’m glad you asked. By the way, my name is MJ. I appreciate you stopping by. My intentions for this site are to create a hub for discussion on my favorite genre! Historical Fiction!

I want to highlight and discuss various books I’ve come across to expand your world. Some books I will give an in depth review, some I may just want to talk about interesting things from the time period of the given novel. In each, I will be making the case for why I think you should read that book.

Will it only be historical fiction?

No. I have great interest in other genres and may also talk about: fantasy, sci-fi, politics, philosophy, and even psychology. There will be a slant towards historical fiction novels being the majority of what I post about, with fantasy being in second. The other topics I mentioned will most likely be sprinkled in here or there. I tend to get burnt out if I read the same genre book after book, so don’t expect just concurrent entries in that regard. I will be posting monthly for now, as I am just getting going with this world of blogging in the year 2025.

Can we know anything more about you MJ?

No, not really. I may post more about myself in the future. I’ve read novels since I was very small as an escape from real life. Sometimes, I needed that temporary retreat. Now I’m just hoping to shine a light on some authors and spark discussion about their books. Broadly speaking, people are reading less. I hope in some small way I can combat this. Reading has helped me immensely, enriching my life in a multitude of ways. Reading is good for your brain. I just want share my passion for books that I’ve found inspiring and even educational.
